They've arrived!

This morning, we presented our new fleet of six 100% electric buses, as well as the associated charging infrastructure, at an event attended by the Regional Secretary for Equipment and Infrastructure, Pedro Rodrigues, to whom we are grateful for his presence and continued support.

On the occasion, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Horários do Funchal, Marco Lobato, highlighted that: “Our central objective is clear: to decarbonize the urban network, progressively replace the fossil fuel fleet with zero-emission assets, and offer our users a modern, inclusive, silent, and environmentally exemplary service.”

This acquisition represents an investment of 2.27 million, of which 1.46 million is financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), and signifies an advance in the comfort of journeys, which are now quieter and more sustainable, contributing to the choice of public transport as an alternative to individual transport.

Starting tomorrow, these new buses will be in service for the population. Welcome aboard!
