The "GIRO na HF" holiday camp bids farewell with very positive results and looks to the future
Another edition of “GIRO na HF,” the holiday camp that Horários do Funchal organizes annually to provide unforgettable summer holidays for the children of its employees, has come to an end.
Over the course of a month, between July 13 and August 14, 36 children aged between 6 and 10 years old had the opportunity to experience a series of activities full of adventure, learning, and contact with the Region. From nautical experiences with canoeing and sailing to horseback riding lessons, the program included emblematic stops such as the Pico do Areeiro Radar, the gardens and heritage of Quinta Vigia, the Natural History Museum, and the facilities of the Bank of Portugal. The planning invested heavily in outdoor and citizenship activities, integrating a traffic education action and a canine demonstration promoted by the PSP in Santa Catarina Park, in addition to a ride aboard Carristur buses. To combat the hottest summer days, participants cooled off at the beaches and bathing complexes of Calheta, Lido, Ponta Gorda, and Porto Moniz.
The closing party, held this afternoon, brought together participants, parents, and the organizing team in a festive atmosphere. The Board of Directors of Horários do Funchal was present, and its President, Marco Lobato, highlighted the company's pride in this initiative, reiterating the administration's commitment to maintaining the project in the future. The manager emphasized the success of this edition, praised the dedication of the entire team of monitors and organizers, and thanked the families for entrusting their children to HF, as well as the indispensable partnership of all the entities that made this edition possible.
Completely free for the families of employees, the “GIRO na HF” reflects the internal social responsibility strategy of the Madeiran public transport company, reinforcing support for work-life balance and valuing its community of workers.
